While there are many opinions regarding EHR vendors, we hold MEDITECH in high regard based on data. We believe their software, particularly the 6.1 web-based products, will be regarded as the leading offering in the market once a few sites are live. (We are scheduled to bring live the first two Web Acute sites in March and April, respectively.) With the development of this advanced platform, and several new applications and enhancements to existing products that meet much of the current Population Health needs of most organizations, we believe MEDITECH will be viewed with the respect they are earning. If you are hearing from those within your organization that there are concerns about MEDITECH, we suggest you guide them with data and not opinion.
The data demonstrates:
To clear up any misconceptions, NHA has completed a detailed functional comparison of MEDITECH vs. other leading products related to Population Health. A summary is provided in this newsletter, and the details are available via a link to our website. We trust this will be useful to some of you. As always, if you have questions, please contact me directly at email@example.com.
John Haffty, President
Navin, Haffty & Associates
Population Health is driving a lot of discussion in our industry. The following points are clear:
NHA has completed a detailed comparison of MEDITECH vs. its major EHR competitors as well as one of the leading stand-alone niche product vendors. Our observations:
Our study reviews over 30 categories of capabilities and identifies those that are native to each vendor’s approach, those that are supplemented via a third-party product and those where a gap exists. To see the full study, click here.
If you have any questions or want more information, contact David Haffty, Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA) is now in place. This represents a complex set of rules (CMS’ presentation on the basics with limited details takes 85 PowerPoint slides). We hope this provides you information that is reasonably clear and concise if you need to explain this to others in your organization.
As always, NHA is glad to provide information and guidance on MACRA and related regulatory programs.

“Navin, Haffty & Associates does a really good job of matching a resource to what we need. I have tried other consulting firms, and we ended up with someone whose knowledge is not what we needed it to be. Navin, Haffty & Associates also assigns a manager that oversees the resource and has a weekly call with me to see whether I am satisfied and whether everything is okay. That is a big deal because sometimes a resource does not work out, and we need to get a person off before we can get someone else in. I like the way Navin, Haffty & Associates has always handled the consultants I have used. They have very good people, and they specialize in MEDITECH, which is helpful.” – Executive / January 2017
