We want to recognize COVID-19 has disrupted virtually every hospital and clinic in the U.S. and Canada, and most of us are making the best decisions that can be made given the unprecedented nature of this virus. NHA is making judgments regarding consultant travel with the utmost concern for our clients and staff. While realizing some services are best performed in person, travel to client sites adds to the risk of unintentionally spreading the virus.

On May 26, KLAS published a new report: “Clinical Optimization Services 2020,” in which NHA was named one of the top five companies providing these services, and the only MEDITECH consulting company included. NHA was recognized for excellence in application enhancement, which KLAS defines as optimizing systems to support better workflows.

As reported in HIStalk, KLAS announced MEDITECH experienced significant gains in its share of the U.S. EHR market in 2019! As shown in the table below, KLAS measured wins and losses in terms of inpatient beds.

First and foremost, our thoughts and prayers go out to the caregivers and support staff battling the COVID-19 pandemic. For those of us who don’t directly care for patients, if this doesn’t remind us that our industry is here to support those that cares for patients, nothing will. We hope and pray for a speedy recovery for those infected with this deadly virus and realize lives are being lost or changed forever.
