Navin, Haffty & Associates has a good, solid understanding of MEDITECH. We have been very pleased with the quality of their consultants. Those people have very good healthcare knowledge and have taken the time to understand our organization. They really fit in quickly. And they have been very proactive in the roles and responsibilities assigned to them.
Clients & Testimonials
We have been augmenting our staff with an NHA resource who writes our MEDITECH reports. The cost of this service has been very reasonable... We have used the NHA resource primarily to pull payroll, materials management, and inventory data. He has the expertise to pull any MEDITECH data we need.
NHA helps us manage our MEDITECH experience and get the most out of our MEDITECH software. The NHA representative is running point on many open issues and getting them resolved. He knows all the buttons to push and how to get the most out of MEDITECH. That is his job. Every week, we run through the issues we have, and the consultant is intimately familiar with them. This setup really works.
NHA has been doing well with our legacy support. We didn’t know the people they put on the contract. We just had to trust them to come up with some good resources. They did a good job of interviewing us to see what we thought our needs were, and they got people with the specific skill sets we needed. The people they got for us are multipurpose analysts who are able to do a range of things instead of just working with a single module, and that has been good.
The hospital has used other organizations in the past, but the VP of our IT division recommended NHA for this project. NHA sent a consultant whose knowledge was extremely impressive to me. In fact, I tried to offer her a job. I brought her back for a second engagement because she had brought so much value in the first engagement. The second time, she actually left me with a digital user manual that she had built from scratch so I could use it for supplemental training in her absence. It had screen prints and everything. This person is the only NHA consultant I deal with, and that is because she is the person I request. She is the best person for materials management. She is the most knowledgeable MEDITECH person I have ever run across for materials management. And she has worked in a hospital purchasing department in the past, so she understands the real application of that software in a day-to-day hospital environment.
Our satisfaction with Navin, Haffty & Associates is largely dependent on the consultant that we hire. Fortunately, NHA has access to qualified, professional, and competent consultants.
The smartest thing Navin, Haffty & Associates did was specialize their resources. If we want someone who really knows how to configure the system, we have to go with someone who has done that before. The people we have worked with from NHA have experience with our core system. NHA also does a lot of research on their resources before they hire them to make sure they get the right people.
There are consultants who can spend a lot of time, take a lot of money, and not be very productive. The people from Navin, Haffty & Associates are productive. When they are here, they work. When I look at their time sheets, I don't question that they put in 45 hours.
We had a rough start with our implementation of MEDITECH with another firm. It immediately became obvious that we needed more expertise for the product, and we ended up contracting with NHA for their implementation services. NHA has had years of experience with MEDITECH, and it became immediately clear to us that they knew what we needed to set up the framework for all of the modules to interact correctly. We pretty much started our implementation from scratch with NHA, and they have been right on schedule and right on budget.
Whenever I have had a need for MEDITECH resources, Navin, Haffty & Associates is the go-to firm. I wouldn't go to anyone else. They have top-notch people at a reasonable price.
We used Navin, Haffty & Associates for our clinical implementation, and we are continuing to use them through our CPOE rollout and other supportive phases. They have been instrumental in our success.
The staff from NHA is everything we were looking for. They are highly trained and can help with whatever we need. The executive involvement is good, with John Haffty himself helping us and being there for us. We get weekly reports on the activities they have been performing, and they are good at managing our support tickets.
We have been happy with our decision to use Navin, Haffty & Associates. They provide excellent resources at very reasonable costs. Unlike many consulting firms, they don't nickel-and-dime.
NHA did a thorough analysis of what we would need and then rounded up just the right people. They were very gracious about pulling people in ad-hoc as we needed them. They only charge us per use, which has been really good.
Most of the work Navin, Haffty & Associates does for us is related to implementations. We are bringing them in for their expertise, whether about patient care modules, CPOE, pharmacy, or something else. We use other firms too, so I know that the pricing Navin, Haffty & Associates gives us is very competitive.
Overall, the people from NHA are excellent. The contract is simple. The relationship benefits from the simplicity of the contract and the quality of the NHA consultants.
Navin, Haffty & Associates has been very flexible in their invoice and billing processes. They have made a number of changes in how they invoice us to better align with our billing processes on our side and to make it easier to make payments. NHA was also very flexible with the contracting. They actually opted to use our standard contract instead of trying to negotiate for their standard contract. They were very flexible with their pricing as well. It was very straightforward.
We brought in Navin, Haffty & Associates because of their experience with our system and the relationship they have with our vendor. NHA has been very good to work with. I have had no second thoughts about selecting them. We looked at two groups, and I definitely feel that we picked the right group.
