COMPANY HISTORY

Navin, Haffty & Associates (NHA): Founded in 2001 to meet the needs of healthcare organizations that use the MEDITECH HCIS. At that time, there was not a single consulting company that provided consulting services exclusively to this market. NHA was established to be the pro-MEDITECH consulting company that would help hospitals to utilize this software more fully.

Clients: NHA has served over 100 healthcare organizations that use MEDITECH for their HCIS for each of the past three years. These clients range from large multi-facilities such as Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI), Denver, Colorado, CHRISTUS Health, Houston, Texas, and Avera Health, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to critical access hospitals. We provide services throughout the United States and have worked with clients in more than 30 states from Maine to California.

MEDITECH Relationship: NHA believes that MEDITECH is as important to our organizational success as any client. We believe that, helping our clients build their relationship with MEDITECH directly serves the best interests of all parties.

Sales and Marketing: NHA is the only large consulting company serving the MEDITECH community that does not employ any sales staff. We are concerned over the inherent conflict of sales staffs' motivation to sell versus the ability of a consulting company to actually deliver services promised. We believe this is at the root cause of the inconsistent reputation of consulting companies in general. We are pleased to be able to market our services via reputation and referral.

Our Newsletter: Probably nothing distinguishes NHA in this market more than our monthly newsletter. It is a source of useful information for MEDITECH HCIS users and focuses NHA on remaining the thought leader in this community. Further, this newsletter allows us to address misinformation from other vendors and sources and provide positive news and updates. Readership currently exceeds 5,000 individuals at more than 900 healthcare organizations.

Our Consultants: We currently have more than 150 consultants ranging from Project Managers, Senior Consultants and Product specialists. Our clinical consultants include nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, physician assistants and many other allied health professionals (dietitians, respiratory therapists, etc.). Many of our project managers are PMI certified. Our consultants bring experience with every application offered by MEDITECH and many are now active with the 6.0 version.

Our Management Team: We are most proud of the strength of our Management Team. Every member of this management team brings over 10 years of MEDITECH HCIS experience and is highly regarded in the industry. In the past year, more than a dozen MEDITECH organizations have engaged us to help develop strategic plans for their overall information systems as well as their advanced clinical systems.  In addition, we have conducted Meaningful Use readiness assessments for many others.
