Job Details:
The Clinical Application Analyst II participates in the support, enhancement and implementation of vendor supplied packaged software solutions to meet the needs of the Regional Health Corporation (RHC). This position will have primary responsibility for the Meditech Advanced Clinical Applications. This position will participate in the evaluation, planning, design and implementation of advanced clinical systems following the CHE project management methodology. The Clinical Application Analyst II will assist with the transition of new clinical application systems to support ensuring that any unique requirements are incorporated into the support model. The Clinical Application Analyst II will provide on-going support for installed clinical application systems including resolution of clinical application system incidents, root cause analysis of problems, impact analysis and planning of proposed clinical system upgrades and patches, analysis and development of enhancements to meet changing customer business requirements, and execution of Information Services change control procedures to ensure all enhancements, upgrades and patches are thoroughly tested and planned before implementation in the production environment. Bachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, computer science, information systems or related field required or relevant work experience. Must have five to seven years of experience as a clinical analyst in an acute care setting and training in system analysis with special emphasis on system methodologies, project management, and business process reengineering related to information systems preferred. Must have demonstrated expert knowledge of clinical application systems and the business processes they enable. Track record of improving business processes using information technology.
